Plans for the future?

I’d like to carry on offering conveyancing services to the people of Gloucester and the surrounding area and developing the Quedgeley Branch.  There are a lot of new developments around the county that I am acting on so I am keen to build on that and start expanding our relationships with the developers.

Buying a property is probably the biggest purchase anyone will ever make so people must find a good local property solicitor with specialist knowledge for a protected transaction.  I firmly believe that there will always be a need for local solicitors, online conveyancers have been around for at least 15 years and if they were going to take over the market they would have done so by now.

I would hope that by the time I come to retire I am able to leave the Quedgeley branch in the safe hands of the younger members of the team that we are currently supporting through their legal qualifications.

Advice for aspiring female professionals?

I would say that it is possible to be successful in your personal and professional life, just be prepared to work hard!  When I was at secondary school I can remember we had a guest speaker who told us that we would either have a successful professional life or a successful family life but that we wouldn’t have both.  I am privileged that I didn’t give up on either dream and I am where I am today.  For any aspiring young lady out there I would say aim high, work hard and you’ll get there.
